Cheshire Police Run Close Pass Operations

We have focused on rural roads working with the local PCSO’s in the West & East of Cheshire to improve drivers knowledge on passing vulnerable roads users safely.

Vehicles were stopped who were travelling over the speed limit and were educated on equine safety, how to pass horses, cyclists and walkers and they were given a copy of the #BritishHorseSociety leaflet. https://orlo.uk/vIvEW

I try to keep a balanced approach to our posts and you will have seen previously about riders and cyclists should also be visible when out on the roads to help keep safe.

The drivers we spoke to were responsive to the education and hopefully the message will be passed on to their friends and family to help in making roads safer.
