This week see’s the first national equine week of action arranged by the National Equine Priority Delivery Group (PDG), supported by the NRCU (National Rural Crime Unit) who work with police forces and rural partners around the UK to address rural crime.

Police forces and equine partners are this week working together to raise awareness around equine crime, provide crime prevention advice, property marking opportunities, highlight the importance of passing horses safely on the road, plus Operation Snap. Also great schemes such as Horse Watch groups and Mounted Police Volunteers, plus the national Operation Gallop website for horse owners with lots of advice and information – www.operationgallop.org.uk and its related social media pages.

Good work and news stories relating to this week will be posted throughout the next few days to highlight the activites and work being done around the UK.
