PSNI and the BHS Work Together on Operation Gallop and the BHS ‘Dead Slow’ Campaign
Police Service of Northern Ireland are working with The British Horse Society under the banner of Operation Gallop to raise awareness among road users of how to pass a horse safely, especially now as the days are getting longer and more riders will be on the roads. That means knowing what to do when you’re behind the wheel. Horses are large and powerful animals who, even those who are well trained, can be easily startled if they sense danger and want to move away quickly.
