Appeal for Information after Emaciated Pony Left for Dead in Leicestershire Field
The RSPCA has launched an appeal after finding an emaciated pony in a field in Sutton Cheney, Leicestershire.
The pony, who has been named Casper, was found by a member of the public.
The three-year-old Shetland cross called Casper was “severely emaciated” at around half his bodyweight and had a large open infected wound under his jaw. He has also tested positive for Strangles, a highly contagious bacteria infection.
Casper had an unregistered microchip.
The RSPCA are asking for anyone with any information that could help them to contact them.
