Two Loose Horses in Keyworth Successfully Dealt with by Nottinghamshire Police Officers
When out and about on their beat PC 1530 Carlile and PC 2359 Clarke from Rushcliffe South Neighbourhood Policing Team, Nottinghamshire Police, were flagged down by a member of the public about two loose horses galloping along Wysall Lane, Keyworth.
A quick thinking member of the public managed to safely stop the horses, and officers then took control while local horse owners helped trace the rightful owners.
Thankfully PC Clarke had recently completed an animal handling course at Brackenhurst college which helped him remain calm while around the large and stressed-out horses.
Thanks to the local contacts and knowledge of the local officers, a potentially dangerous incident was safely resolved proving once again we’re never saddled with a problem we can’t handle. ![]()
With excellent teamwork between the community and officers, the situation was brought under control quickly, we didn’t let this one run wild, and we certainly didn’t get long faced about it.
The horses are now safely back with their owners, a truly stable outcome.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped, your support is simply neigh-bourly! ![]()
