Equine Training Day for North Wales Police

A huge thank you to Alys and the amazing volunteers at RDA Calon who generously provided their horses and facilities today! 

In collaboration with North Wales Horse Watch and the North Wales Police Rural Crime Team, we delivered essential equine handling and awareness training to officers from North Wales Police—equipping them with the skills to manage incidents involving horses on the highway.

The training also covered horse identification, including the legal requirements around microchipping, equine passports, and transport legislation. This knowledge is vital in ensuring the welfare of horses and the safety of all road users.

A brilliant day of learning, teamwork, and partnership between community organisations and law enforcement!
