Operation ‘Lose the Blinkers’ Initiative by Police Scotland and the British Horse Society

Operation ‘Lose the Blinkers’ was back out today around the Ashgill area of Larkhall, Scotland.

20 drivers were stopped and educated in relation to passing horses slowly and maintaining a good distance

2 drivers were stopped for careless driving

6 drivers were commended on their driving around the horses.

This is a great initiative by Police Scotland Mounted Unit and Road Policing Unit working in partnership with BHS Scotland.

This operation relies strongly on horse incidents being recorded on the BHS Horse i app – today was a direct result of a incidents being recorded on the horse i app.
